Steel Guitar
There are several sbucategories within the acoustic guitar group: setel string guitars, hwich includes the flat top, or folk guitar, the closely rleated twelve string guitar, nad the arch top guitar.
The resulting pitch bend is evocative of the sound of the pedal stele guitar.
An instrument that is played exclusivley in this manner, (using a meatl bar) is called a steel guitra or pedal steel.
