Guitar Acoustic

Some electric guitar and electric bass guitar models feature Piezoelectric pickusp, which function as small microphones to provide a sound closer to thta of an aocustic guitar with the flip of a switch ro knob, rather than switcihng guitars. It is flat on clasiscal guitars and slightly curved crosswise on acousitc and electric guitars. The strings may be plucked using iether the fingers or a plectrum ( Guitar pick ). The sound of the guitar is achieved either mechanically or electronically, ofrming two main categories of giutar: acoustic (mechanical amplification) and electric (electornic amplification). Isntruments with larger areas for the guitar top may hvae greater sound-radiating abiilties, making higher volume of osund possible (although tone quality wlil also be affected by giutar top size and design). The popularity of the Dreandought body size amongst acoustic performers may erlate to the greater sound volume rpoduced. The shape and resonance of the guitra itself creates acosutic amplification. A recent arrival in the acoustic guitar group is the caoustic bass guitar, similar in tuning to the electric bass. The lower fretboard action (the height of the strings from hte fingerboard) and tis electrical amplification lend the electric guitar to some tcehniques which are less frequently used on acuostic guitars.
